Warm Weather Tall Tales

I rented a metal detector for the day and had some luck on the public beach. Once I reached the end of the public part of the beach, I walked along the road for a little while because but I had a feeling that if I keep going, good things would happen. I thought this little area was so pretty, so after I took a quick picture I found a portion of fence that was knocked down and continued my metal detecting (even though it says no trespassing, I decided to check it out anyway).

I found a gold nugget about the size of a golf ball and about $14 in change. It was a good find, to say the least!

Calendar Photo

This photo I sold to a calendar company. It was the photo for March 2008. I still have about 30 copies of the calendar that I don't know what to do with. The calendar company said it's possible they'd reuse the photo in about 10 years, so that's something to look forward to!

This Post is Fiction. The Photo is Real.

swimming dolphin close up
This little guy I spotted while free-diving off the coast of Florida in 2008. To protect my camera from the water, I wrapped it in saran wrap and cut a hole for the lens to poke out. I swam out about a mile from shore and used my ECHO Locator to find a pod of dolphins. This dolphin in particular was very friendly and even allowed me to hold onto his dorsal fin while he towed me! We swam together for about two hours, until my camera memory card was full. I then saw a whale shark cruising by and it towed me most of the way back to shore.

Warm Weather Photo

warm beach with white sand Florida
Since it's winter and finally starting to get seriously cold, I think it's about time for some warm weather photos. Looks nice, doesn't it? White sand, turquoise water and a clear blue sky.... ahhh!

Winter Blues and Greens

I think instead of calendars having snowy landscapes in winter, they should have hot weather images. Ahh, that water looks nice!

A.J. the Puppy

You know, this is not the best picture ever but I think it's a perfect representative of my brother's dog, AJ. Adam and I almost killed him. We took him for a walk at like, 2AM (to see shooting stars!) and AJ decided to lick a poisonous frog. He foamed at the mouth for about an hour then we got it all under control and he's ok!

So, AJ is a little bit crazy and I think this is a funny picture. Below, you are able to see his face. And SWEET beard.

Beach Umbrella

It's supposed to protect you from the sun, but if you happen to fall asleep underneath its shade with no sun block on, you WILL get burned. I would know.

Florida Blues and Greens

Gulf of Mexico, FL. It's always nice to be able to go to the beach and actually swim in warm water. The beach around where I live is usually gray, full of seaweed and 64* is about as warmed up as the water gets. In case you have never gone swimming off the coast of New England 64 degrees is COLD.

Ocean View

The view from the showers at the beach. That, by the way is the Gulf of Mexico.
