NJ Winter

It's been raining instead of snowing here in NJ this winter. I'll be fine if it's not a white Christmas. The memories are still fresh of frozen, white New England winters... I do not miss them yet.

Santa! I Know What I Want This Year

Christmas Cookies!!!

Every year my mom makes probably 400 cookies. Who ever is at home helps decorate (this year, just me and mom). You can tell how tired we are by how messy or crazy the decorating is. No matter what they look like, they're always delicious.

Photobombing Petey

While this is not a traditional photobomb, it still counts. This dog loves to come over to see what I'm doing, and in the meantime plop himself down in a very inconvenient spot. He's got a nose for it.

Jolly Holly

There's a row of holly plants/bushes on our block and just one has berries. The rest are straight up green.

Cactus Teachings

My favorite chapter of my favorite book, by Michael Crichton, is called "Cactus Teachings." In it, Crichton speaks to a cactus. Sometimes, the cactus speaks back.

I've had this cactus for like 15 years... it was the size and shape of a tennis ball when I got it and after all that time, it's only about 6 inches tall. I like this plant because I can forget to water it for a month and it's no problem.

Men Sew Too

My brother's first time on the sewing machine. He got a jump start on Christmas presents this year, that's all I'm going to say :-)
