I rented a metal detector for the day and had some luck on the public beach. Once I reached the end of the public part of the beach, I walked along the road for a little while because but I had a feeling that if I keep going, good things would happen. I thought this little area was so pretty, so after I took a quick picture I found a portion of fence that was knocked down and continued my metal detecting (even though it says no trespassing, I decided to check it out anyway).I found a gold nugget about the size of a golf ball and about $14 in change. It was a good find, to say the least!
