Keith Urban

I didn't really know right away who Keith Urban was when I was invited to one of his concerts this summer, but I'm glad I decided to say yes to going! I took these pictures on my phone and I later checked my backup photos on Google+ and this awesome gif was just there! He is a great performer and looooves his fans (and guitar solos). Also, he walked by me to perform for the crowd on the lawn and I touched his arm. Eeee!

2013 Broadway Roundup

I was able to see a bunch of shows on Broadway in 2013, including The Book of Mormon, Spider-Man Turn off the Dark, Kinky Boots and most recently Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. 2013 was a good year to see musicals!

Old Spices

I recently dug around in the cabinet, looking for something way in the back and I came across these rather old looking containers: chopped chives and cream of tartar.
These chopped chives only cost 78 centsI think this is considered "vintage"

I was right, this stuff is OLD. The chives are from 1981!!

Even older is the cream of tartar: 1977!!

What do you think I did with these? Of course, I put them back in the cabinet to rediscover in another 30+ years!

Yard Sale Score

Water, mason jar, meet air. Together, you are beautiful.

I went on a yard sale adventure with a friend recently and the owner of one of the last houses we stopped at was selling a bunch of mason jars. I was on mason jar look out for mom and when the lady told me she would sell me four jars for 25 cents each, I said "I'll take 'em all!"

Back home, I left them outside and they filled with rain... and then I decided it might look very cool if I was able to capture what the water looked liked as I threw it out of the jar. This was my last toss and I was right, it does look cool. :-)

Annie the Seagull Whisperer

I went to the beach at Wildwood with some friends recently and we ended up feeding the seagulls for a few exciting minutes. Annie got one to eat out of her hand!

Closer...!
He got the food!

Take a look from Annie's point of view!
Thank you to Annie for letting me use her Instagram photo

Life Update!

I've seriously neglected my blog for several months, but I want to get back to it! Since my phone has a camera on it, I've used my Nikon less and less; add to that my computer is old and I've been procrastinating on getting a new one; and Instagram makes it too easy to post pictures right after I take them on my phone. So all of those excuses have made it easy to add to my photo project. Shameful!

I have a lot of photos on my phone that I can share and I hope to get my Instagram feed up as well. Here is a photo that I was inspired by Instagramer, purposeofenvy. I couldn't edit this on my phone the way I wanted to, so it never got posted.
