I recently dug around in the cabinet, looking for something way in the back and I came across these rather old looking containers: chopped chives and cream of tartar.
I was right, this stuff is OLD. The chives are from 1981!!
Even older is the cream of tartar: 1977!!
What do you think I did with these? Of course, I put them back in the cabinet to rediscover in another 30+ years!
I am interested in photography and have become more so ever since I got my beloved Kodak EasyShare C330 point-and-shoot digital camera in 2006. I'm no pro but I am trying to become a better photographer because it's so much fun to do!
The photos that make it to the blog are a tiny portion of the masses of pictures that I've taken and are either a) my favorites, b) inspired by some great image or c) a semi-interesting shot that I accidentally captured (ha!) And instead of printing out these pictures to put in some album no one (but my mom) would ever see, I post them here in my own digital scrapbook!
I don't have fancy equipment and I rarely use anything other than natural light. I don't alter my pictures in Photoshop and any edits I do make (usually cropping) I take note of.

The Chestnut Challenge
In 2009, Joey Chestnut created a new world record at the hot dog eating contest on Coney Island. During summer 2011, my brother and I joined forces and attempted to tie or beat this record of 68 hot dogs. See What Really Happened.
