Zippy
Another speed walker.
I thought about cropping this, but I kind of like it the way it is. While taking this and other photos like it, I very simply tried to hit the shutter while a person was in the frame (without stopping-- it was cold out!). Most of the time it was messy, but I adjusted my timing and got a couple of good ones.

Speedy New Yorker
I took some pictures of random people walking (or should I say, power walking) on NY city streets. This dude was a blur!

Warm Weather Tall Tales
I rented a metal detector for the day and had some luck on the public beach. Once I reached the end of the public part of the beach, I walked along the road for a little while because but I had a feeling that if I keep going, good things would happen. I thought this little area was so pretty, so after I took a quick picture I found a portion of fence that was knocked down and continued my metal detecting (even though it says no trespassing, I decided to check it out anyway).
I found a gold nugget about the size of a golf ball and about $14 in change. It was a good find, to say the least!

Icy Sunbeams
Thought I'd break up the warm weather photos with an icy one. Sometimes it seems like the sun is brighter in the winter. I do like the sunbeams shining down on the road.

Calendar Photo
This photo I sold to a calendar company. It was the photo for March 2008. I still have about 30 copies of the calendar that I don't know what to do with. The calendar company said it's possible they'd reuse the photo in about 10 years, so that's something to look forward to!

This Post is Fiction. The Photo is Real.
This little guy I spotted while free-diving off the coast of Florida in 2008. To protect my camera from the water, I wrapped it in saran wrap and cut a hole for the lens to poke out. I swam out about a mile from shore and used my ECHO Locator to find a pod of dolphins. This dolphin in particular was very friendly and even allowed me to hold onto his dorsal fin while he towed me! We swam together for about two hours, until my camera memory card was full. I then saw a whale shark cruising by and it towed me most of the way back to shore.

Rope Lights
Petey is getting older and our back porch light doesn't illuminate the steps he has to climb down and up when we let him out at night. So, I thought it would be handy to have some lights running along the steps to help our little dog see. I dug out a coil of rope lights and before I hauled it all outside in the bitter cold, I made sure it still worked. This is what I saw.
